The Way It Was Done

Alright alright....this is a very very late post....well,whatever it is....this is the build-up process leading to the day of our trials..Using the analogy of Noah and his ark...I'm pretty sure the process that some of us went through to prepare ourselves for trials was as enjoyable as how Noah built his ark. That is if he enjoyed it....I'm pretty sure Noah did....pretty pretty sure!
Now....let me take you on a journey of how some students prepare themselves for trials.....
Before that....check this out..it's my old house...this was taken approximately a week before trials started when i was walking around my old neighborhood to buy newspaper.Hmm..still looks as good as old...and then I saw...
Chang Sin Mun's house....many of my old schoolmates didn't know that we used to live 3 doors away from each other. To Sin Mun..bro,I miss the mornings that we used to have before leaving for school in the afternoon....
I was on my way back after grabbing my newspaper..then I came across the world's ugliest car or at least that is just what I claim....TOYOTA YARIS! SHITTIEST CAR!
The wonders of our government's doings are consistently posted on our best-selling newspaper.

Moving on to our process as I've promised..we take a look at a few things. At times, we just need to relax ourselves before we sit for our examinations especially TRIALS! In this case, Chiun Xin takes a precious time to induce some humor into his emotional well-being by laughing at conventional things like cellphones so that he can decrease the stress level of examinations. On the other hand, people like Chai Yang, Weng Howe and Ferng Lin(the other 3 in white) just love admiring how "sophisticated" their hand phones are and how proud they are about it especially when they can play games with it even during lectures. But,I pity students like Tanes. Somehow, he was like an Indian boss visiting a kitchen filled with Chinese cooks......it means....CLUELESS.
Well, certain students are eager to flaunt their smartness and their studying prowess by trying to explain certain theories that we learned during lectures. What does this mean?It means some people were paying attention and some did not while lecturers were teaching. It can also mean..hmm..say..arrogance?Geniuses like Tze Herng are just eager to explain things that other ppl think are unimportant but in actual fact, it is!So what was he talking about? The Wednesday holiday of celebrating Nuzul Al-Quran..a theory inexplainable by all lecturers....but is appreciated by all students. No wonder others were paying rapt attention..look!
In the process of preparation, we can never deny the existence of hardworking individuals like SueFlyn and Ferng Lin...sitting on their chairs, studying most definitely. Then again, we have active learners like Wei Jian and Chiun Xin who can study even when they stand.Don't count Alisha out too(the girl on the left side). So there's a hypothesis...which is....=>
-Active learners emphasize a lot on action
-What do passive learners emphasize on?.......PASSION! Therefore, check out the guy by the door! FULL PASSION FOR THE DOOR TOWARDS KNOWLEDGE IN LIFE. that explains his pose.
Remember what I talk about passive learners?Students like Victor(on top) and Yee Khang(bottom) exhibit very good examples of passive learners, they have PASSION for learning! But, sometimes the time isn't right for passive learning...so my message to Victor and Yee Khang....this isn't the mating season yet.....don't make love just yet....
And there could be distractions in life trying to destroy our process in preparing for trials.Passive learners hate this.
Yet they can ignore these distractions and continue studying the way they want.....
Then, we have students like Ferng Lin and Gary who are constantly trying to find out how and why certain theories are being applied. People like them form a good a chemistry between themselves no matter where they go, be it in class or even in the chemistry lab. But, certain students like SueFlyn just can't understand how these people think. Therefore, students like her resort on learning individually, trying to understand concepts all by herself but can she handle it all by herself? But why was she having a hard time trying to understand a concept that Pn. Mahani never teach before?
That is the reason why sometimes students like SueFlyn who loves studying individually struggle.
Therefore, it is best to study in a class together where everyone pays rapt attention during lecture hours. The cool environment in the classroom can be conducive.... conducive enough for students like Alisha to fall into deep sleep....
Our ways of preparation for trials have advanced along with the flow of technological improvements. Students nowadays no longer look at books. The introduction of Information Technology and Visual Aids have changed the ways of education. The question is...can big screens like this be for the better or for the worse?
Certainly, smaller screens are the most preferable ones for students. In most cases, students like Tze Herng feel the joy of learning flowing through their veins by applying technological advancements in education. We can't deny the fact that technology has helped us a lot. It makes things simpler and easier...no wonder, Tze Herng is happy! 100% satisfaction guaranteed with no money back guaranteed as well.
Nonetheless, with pros..there are also cons..Certain students may not be able to adapt to new advancements in technology. It can cause students like Alisha to fret and to be dumbfounded before the screen of the computer due to lack of prior knowledge of using computers and managing electronic files. She could be saying...."Aiyerr....how to prepare for trials lar like this..."....Like Newton's Third Law suggests...for every action...there is always a reaction in the opposite direction which is equal in magnitude.
BUT! BUT! No matter how hard the preparation for trials is....our teachers will always be there to support us. Our lecturers will always be there to help us, watch us and guide us. They will always be behind our backs to support us. Like the picture suggests...Mrs. Banu humbles herself to sit and to stay behind our backs to support us just to ensure that preparation goes well.....watching us..guiding us...with much love and care....how lovely...

I'm sure Noah had a good time building his ark since he knew the right way to do it and he was following God's instructions.
So.....how hard can trials be if you know the right ways of preparation? HEHE !

The Calm before the storm.....

Ever heard of the story of Noah's Ark?About how God told Noah to build an Ark to contain loads of livestocks and animals to keep them safe from the big flood?Sometimes, I imagine...what was the building of the Ark process like? Was it like...ermm..Noah and his family were happily gathering tools to make the world's first anti-flood container....hmm....or should we picture it like this.....
-Noah works really hard to gather the tools while his wife was busy preparing orange juice to
quench his thirst
-Noah's kids would be happily playing around with some animals
-Noah's wife baked some cakes while the kids feed the animals
-They had a little hut near the ship, they sleep there and they were enjoying the sunset....

Reminds you of....ermm....Evan Almighty?....Quite so yeah??
SO here's the thing..we often recognize a fact which is quite obvious to all of us...that..
WE SHOULD ALL STRESS BEFORE EXAMS COME! The usual things that students do are:
*They ask their classmates if any of them have started studying...so that they can get ahead of their classmates....a form of KIASU-ism
*They ask their lecturers about past chapters...a form of lack of concentration when the lecturer was teaching those chapters
*They ask their classmates how long do they study...another form of KIASU-ism
*They ask how long do they sleep in a day....a way to know how a smart student becomes smart
*They ask what they have been eating....another way to know how a smart student becomes smart
*and ofcourse....we have idiots who like to annoy their classmates around....which is..
A FORM OF NUISANCE and DISTURBANCE to distract the entire class MUAHAHA!
This was on a Friday..why most of us are awake?Mr John, our Physics lecturer..who appeared to be teaching during the last period of Friday once commented on how surprisingly awake we are on Fridays. It's because.....we all can't wait to go back...So we have Zhen Jiang scratching his head while pondering on some concepts and Victor drinking like a thirsty bear, waiting to go back to Johor to see his girlfriend.Like the background suggests....let there be light...from above...
Then appeared disturbers like me who loves capturing things that are "caught in the moment"..It appears Chai Yang thought he was some Hong Kong celebrity trying to shoo me off like how Edison Chen shoo paparazzis off....Then, like I said...people are always awake on Fridays...so wide awake..Chao Lin stood up like a stalwart..a young student eager to learn...a young man yearning to know every piece of knowledge he needs....but most of all.....a restless student who only thinks of Friday evening playtime...
Certain students...though exams coming...they just can't help but to give themselves pleasure first before going the hard road...Like Tze Herng...he prefers to call his fictional girlfriend as early as possible to book a table in Friday's..though it was still 45 minutes before Physics is over...and ofcourse...paparazzis like me do get some warm reception..thanks to people like Victor who willingly smile at me and pose with his infamous side fringe that Mrs. Banu asked him to cut so he can arrive earlier for her classes...(I wonder what does that gotta do with arriving late -_-)..Nonetheless...give Ferng Lin some credit....he studies....even when I distracts him..at least he manages to...
Then, we have some unsung champions...who were supposed to do their homework and assignments at home...Nonetheless, people like Theng Fei fits the bill, for being able to concentrate lectures while managing his assignments. Not to mention, Ferng Lin does that too! LOL! We have a genius like Wei Jian..pondering on Mr John's lessons...thinking about how to discover a PERPETUAL ENERGY SOURCE.....or maybe build a TESLA Coil with me...or maybe thinking about what Friday Night Movie that TV3(TV Tiga, local channel) gotta offer for that day...
Sure....of the lot who did not pay much attention...there are still people ....people who are yearning to learn...not the type that I commented about Chao Lin standing up halfway during lectures. But ofcourse, we have Chiun Xin (in specs) asking lotsa questions about WHY? WHAT ?HOW?....so now we know how we make use of those..WH-questions that we had been taught by our teachers since primary school..Then,we have people like Alisha(In yellow), feels irritated by the concepts...showing some annoying face..asking questions disturbing Ferng Lin...while Sue Flyn(...on her right)...were busy compiling questions in her head to bombard Mr. John...endlessly..fearlessly...Ahh...not to mention...we have people like Wei Loong who often dreams himself away from lessons....thinking trials could be as near as the next meal that he was gonna have that day..but wait up....it's still far away..most importantly...it's a Friday,he would say.."Wonder how much I've saved up for the week?Sufficient for clubbing tonight?Sufficient for extra beer sessions?Enough money for ciggarettes?Damn...stressnya...."
Finally...no matter what happens....at whatever situations...we should stand up for the undisputed champion..bigger than champs like Theng Fei. The Undisputed Champ would be Mr. John...the most patient lecturer/teacher I've ever encountered in the entire college...As stereotypical as you may think, you could be thinking...hey..patient lecturers...they are no good! They let u rest....teach u a little and expects you to study alone and move on....but this one is different..he makes you think...like erm...."When people ask you who is your class rep?You can't just say our class rep is class rep..you have to tell the name..."...INCREDIBLE! how he related it to the F=ma formula...

There we go....trials coming up...it's just the calm before the storm....let's do some summary..
We are.............Noah
The ARK is ....Studies....(How much capacity will be taken and left to store every needed knowledge)
The Flood is...EXAMS lor....
God is......God...as always =)

So what should I do?
Gotta start building my "ARK"........1,2,3...1,2,3....1,2,3....1,2,3....!

A random encounter or was it?

Do things really happen for a reason?Or are some things as random as they can be til they can drive us thinking about them so much?I've always thought that one event always lead to another and as small as some events can be, they could well catalyze the occurrence of bigger events! So , we have chemistry in our minds now..!
Let's generalize some equations shall we?
Say..talking about how you were born :
Mom + Dad -------> Me
(aphrodisiac as catalyst)
Ofcourse, some do adopt such system:
???? + ???? -------> ?????
(VIAGRA as catalyst)
Now let's take another step regarding to your studies:
Books + Late Night study -------> Straight A's
(coffee as catalyst)
Let's take a look at Olympic athletes:
Lazy style training + Inefficient coaching -------> Gold Medal
(Drugs as catalyst)
Politics perhaps?:
Racism + Inappropriate understanding of human rights -------> SOME MINISTER!
(Greed as catalyst)

So...today...as usual i was waiting at Taman Bahagia for a taxi...it was so jammed! Dammit! I went home late...as in...real late man....then along came a taxi...Some nice old man..he drove me home and not to mention..he ought to drive another lady along...not just an ordinary lady.An African lady,South African to be exact..Well, according to him..he was just trying to reduce the crowd..yeap very crowded at the taxi stand.

That taxi driver was really friendly....started asking the African lady some questions....like..
Real sensitive issues...like...."So,my dear...are the whites and blacks still fighting in South Africa?"...Then, he turned on some really old songs...really really old....OLDIES!...There was this sudden rush of mood in the taxi...it's like..you know..you listen to emo songs and the car just keep on moving and moving.....you look out the window...you think about the past....you think abt the present and stuffs like that? He speaks good English and ofcourse that lady, too speaks good English with some African accent..not too sure.....
So this is the old driver...never got to ask his name..This guy's a real hero...he said he was too engrossed on talking to the African lady til he lost the way back to my house...I had to pay him RM9 man! He's a real nice guy though.Explains lots of stuff about the country and ofcourse, tried his very best to tell the lady how did Islam arrive in Malaysia....Not to mention...he reminded me on certain things..like er...
-Music are the food of love, they shouldn't be loud and noisy...they should be sentimental
-We kinda actually depend on Japan to develop
-Africans were not able to make use of the resources they had back then and that's why the
westerners took advantage and BAM....there goes colonization and slave trade.
-Some Chinese men do love fat girls...(When the African lady said no Chinese man would fall in
love with a fat girl like her)

And this is the AFRICAN lady....she seemed friendly..Apparently, she studies in Taylor's College Petaling Jaya. She's 24 and she's pursuing hotel management in the Petaling Jaya campus...interesting..She seems to be really interested in Malaysian history...and she was asking me about how did Islam arrive in Malaysia....and so, I gave her the ultimate resource guide....
WIKIPEDIA.com.....According to the taxi driver...she will make a good wife, a good cook because people who studies hotel management can cook...true?Not too sure man....
Nice place....my favourite road ....hehe.....like an emo picture...dammit....You look out of the window....think about your past....your present, your future....Made me think about certain things....like the old man said....as we grow old,we will reminisce....we came to the world as a baby..grow up into a boy or a girl, then a teenager...then we become men or women..then we get settled, married and work....then we grow old...it's a cycle that we cannot escape...SO philosophical!
Yeap! On the way to KDU already hehe! There was once i took the long way from my house and walked through this flyover bridge to Atria...for what?Ridiculously...to buy some video games....DAMM...i was Form 4 back then, what was I thinking..AIYOHNESS!.....
That's KDU!..The nearest college to my house and I'm not even attending it...I'm such an idiot...there's a college nearby my house but I go all the way to Taylor's....damm..I waste alot of my parents' money then. This should be the part where I think...I really need to work hard to hit the goals that I've set...and repay my mum and dad....ahhh! Long way to go dude!

I left the taxi stand at 4.30 and I reached home at around 5.45...how ridiculous...my mum would kill me if I told her how much I spend for a taxi fare....Anyway...it was a nice encounter though...sometimes people just won't grow old at heart....Thanks to Mr I-Don't-Know Who...for being such a friendly taxi driver and the nicest one I've ever met so far...Another little thing or more about Mr Nice Taxi Driver:
-Apparently, he worked for the Royal Air Force of I don't know where but based in UK for 2 years..as a test engineer...Aircraft Maintenance Engineer WOW!
-67 going on 68 years old
-Still considers himself as a romantic person...even more romantic as he grows old
-Reminded me that it's always nice to meet new people and to be more approachable
-We don't have to grow old at heart...just stay young if we want to...=)
Thanks alot..! The best taxi ride I've ever had.....A female student from Africa...A taxi driver who speaks British English after having 2 years of working experience from UK and me....a youngster yet to achieve anything....to me..it was a random encounter ...really really random....no more words to describe it......The road is long, come on! Let's SUCCEED!
Home is still the best place to be and never forget to.....paint another smile on that face, shall we?

My Life, My College Life and the rest....

Ever since college started, many things have happened. I had been experiencing all sorts of events in my life. Like Powerpuff Girls say..sugar, spice and everything nice...and of course like Darth Vader say...bitterness, pain and lonesome..(This wan I create wan ! XD). Whatever it is..college has been a blast in my life...met lots of new friends and learned many things along the way. Since college is just once....may as well get involved in as many things as possible....Come to think of it, I've been keeping myself busy for as long as I can remember ever since college started! So here it is...my college life ladies and gentlemen....

This is my class page for Winangali (SAM Magazine) Well that's my class with me as the proud class rep woohoo! Chiun Xin as my ASS REP( I love to mention that) and ofcourse 1 of 2 girls in the class,Alisha as the class treasurer! My class comprises of 30 people, 2 girls and 28
boys....that's a bit off the hook yea? Man..I sure look macho wit the bald cut.

This is usual in class, as Mr. Sam always work hard. No matter how long the winding road is, he will never give up! Studies all the time! The guy in white is Weng Howe, maths specialist (DAMN!) Theng Fei took this picture while he admires the fact that I'm a hardworking student, hands down baby.

This is a super uglying picture of me and my handsome Physics teacher in the Physics lab. Apparently, he didnt know that I was taking his picture. He thought I was trying to show him sumthing..Sometimes, people are just so smart, they forgot the meaning of...humour.....haihhh......
Ofcourse, folks! There's always a time to act macho in the Physics lab every monday, the guy in green is Ferng Lin, showing his butt to the camera, Mr Blue shirt is Chan Wei Jian, the class genius whom JPA denied him of a scholarship,HE GOT 10A1sF U JPA!!! SAYA TAK SUKA JPA. JAGUH PENIPU AHPEK!

So, you know..when you act macho..gotta act a little bit cool also lar...
There's never a dull moment in the Physics Lab. Like for instance, macho boys like me also can go gila-gila.(AHAHAAHH) And sum people will follow you gila-gilaalso, like ZHEN JIANG next to me....the smart idiot who is best in Maths and Spec Maths. One year younger than me and go clubbing summore...what the heck man, unfair!
And ofcourse, I recall a time when I was giving a speech representing all the March intake students on Lecturer's Day in MPH. Hmm, I think...this is the part where I said...."It's ok
to FAIL YOUR FIRST COMMON TEST GUYS! HEY BOY,you can be the first!"

This is the part where I mentioned...."Why so many common tests wan?WHAT the F......."
Remember what I said about getting involved? This was taken during Agathian's visit. Had
great memories...great time....and please...Nicholas,why are u squatting on the left side looking
elsewhere?AIYOH....miss Penang issit now?-Proud to be part of Pre-Medical Society TUC 2008!
So this was taken during the start of my mid-term holidays. It was a cool Saturday evening. Had a really great time volunteering for Aids Memorial Day. I love reiterating this but here goes....
the guy beside me is Roshan, Chinese + Punjab = Chinpub XD....credits to Ken Vin, my wise wise president, who was standing behind trying to look macho...oh come on...
Going cool again, Victor on the left and Chin Jun in the middle...getting ourselves all chilling and relaxing after a long evening of..yes,distributing fliers and entertaining uninterested people regarding AIDS.(PLAY SAFE LAR!)...And yes, thanks to Victor, I'm now car enthusiast...a VERY VERY BAD interest to pick up!
Like I said...it's a bad interest to pick up...You tend to lose the sense of reality...you think you can own the most luxurious cars in the world...you think you can be rich enough to fend Oprah Winfrey off from her top position in Forbes 100 Richest Celebrities...and you have a dream car that you wanna pursue....haihh...am I gonna work my butt off not to pay the bills and the house installments but to get myself a BMW M6?
But then again...it's just too hard to resist when baby M6 is calling out for your name...as she screams in pain for your touch..as she craves that gentle fondle on her steering wheel...as she needs your feet to pump up the accelerator and shows you what she can do...Damn...

No doubt, I mix with alot of people, hehe! I'm friends with Wei Guan's classmates as well!
Though I'm not so close to Alex....We were at Nando's that day,it was just after I
completed my Physics paper and Spec Maths was on the followin day.No wonder I did badly for my Spec Maths...I hate outings in the midst of examinations! No no..I hate Nando's...no no, I should hate my procrastination!
Sometimes students get too stressed up,they do stupid things after finishing mid-terms. Hmm..
this is at Tze Herng's house...BBQ party...finely-trimmed green grass....me on the grass, Ferng
Lin trying to immitate sum Japanese fan-holding cock-kicking bastard while Yong Sheng tries the macho step on my little "brother...."..and ofcourse Ming Zu behind watching with much
"mercy".....=)
Sure, the idiot laid flat....while Leslie stepped in and look me in the eye...."How does it feel
down there?" I said...."I climaxed....."------not true!
Some idiots like me, Wei Jian and Alisha just think March intake is too easy to handle and that
we have the free time to join the debate competition.Smile what smile...AIYOH! Sorry Alisha,
couldn't make it for your birthday party that day before!
Like I said.....no need so smile-miley......just act cool...Be like me mah..aiyohh....Anyway..I got
best speaker on that day for my match, woohoo! Not too bad for a first-timer eh?
When you are in college..never ever forget to keep in touch with the old dudes! It's a general rule! A rule which needs discipline. Go out! Do something, watch a movie...talk...speak..listen,
eat....ice...cream.....-_-....in Baskin Robbins......bankrupt lor....
But...but.....it's always worth it lar....come on lar mr Sam Ye Han....smile lar....it's worth it right?

WeiHoong:"Just because you are heartbroken, doesn't mean you should get all desperate"
Sam: "What? That girl just looked at me...I can't look back at her meh?"
"By the way...where is she ar?...."
Not to mention....should always keep in touch with people who drive u crazy! See that?4 admin of Yumcha Blog wei,dun play play LOL.First time four of us are together in a single yumcha.
Yongming..haihh....u and ur stories about what would happen if all schoolmates forget each other.....dun lar so drama!
So..you'll never know you know...even the old dude next to us was trying to reminisce about his
old school days.Too much of thinking got him go GA-GA and finally tried his best to fit into....
YUMCHA....lol
One the most important thing for sure....never forget about those who make you feel like brothers, partners in crime and whatever things which describe the super uncommon but highly enviable friendship between men....Introducing....the Pork Shop Boys!(Without Lim Han Chuen)....exclude the girl down there....she is....what we call.."Irrelevancy"

And finally....the future is always bright ahead..look up dude...you'll never know what you'll find in the crowded atmosphere or the lonely shadows...there's just something out there..We shouldn't be sad for a long time...be complacent for that one moment you think you are good but never stop trying harder and harder. And most importantly....everyone deserves a smile no matter what happens or what may come along, depression, sadness, hardships or heartbreaks....so like the Joker said....."Let's put a smile on that face!"....(Random)........
