Where the rainbow ends there is a pot of gold waiting for you.

College ended amazingly fast...sad case, sad case....March intake students have a relatively short period of time to study but also a short period of time to experience many things in the space of 8 months....And I ask God....why good things always come to an end???AIYAHH!! How was your educational experience in college or maybe at school or some other institutions? How was your class?I don't know much about yours but I do know much about mine....and I'll tell you mine:

*all of a sudden...the mood gets a little bit emo here and there......damn*......
*plays the "Graduation" song by Vitamin C*.......
*reminisce about the good old times......*

TADA!! Here are the almost- entire class members of E3 2008 with our beloved English lecturer, Mrs. Banu. I don't understand much about him but Ying Hao always seem anti-social and never talks to us...even in taking pictures, he cares more about the cleanliness of his fingers....thats why we call him...."The Silencer" ---(the first boy from the left)
As much as most of us sleep in his class and seldom pay much attention to his life theories, we still have a soft spot for Mr.Chin...our dearest mentor and Maths lecturer. For the record, I'm currently the recordholder for being caught the most times sleeping during his classes. I think I tie with Ferng Lin, not too sure.
Now now...we have the smartest lecturer in our class, Mr. Lee our spec maths lecturer. There's always an aura when he enters the class, especially after examinations and common tests. Until now I can still remember how many people pass his common test 1 and common test 2. For common test 1, only 13 people passed. For common test 2, 15 people passed.....He uses the weirdest of examples to explain the hardest of maths applications. Btw, Ming Zu after being carried by the guys, got Aruba-ed after that...I'll explain what is that to you later.
The most patient lecturer ever, Mr John..our physics lecturer. He was a process engineer before ending up teaching Physics. According to him, he loves teaching because he loves dealing with young people....Well, not the Michael Jackson's version of love for the young. He gives me respect too, the class will always remember...."When people ask you who is your class rep, you can't just tell them your class rep is class rep, you must mention his name!"---This is an amazing analogy to explain the theory of Centripetal Force.
When it's serious time...it's serious time..We all study....we study really hard.
Whether you are at the back or at the front, diligence is the defining attitude of my class.
And when it's time to rest...we rest together, all for one and one for all.
OOPS! Got caught during sleeping? Some lecturers love being young, according to Mr.Chin..putting on that eccentric Hawaiian collar t-shirt every Friday reminds him that the weekend should be a time of sheer delight and a jump back into youth's fountain.
We implement the spirit of unity very well, we believe that race is not an issue. Black, white, orange, beige..we all mix well....We are the epitome of Rojakness whereby the flavours mix with a specified but "joyful" chemistry. But then, some guys like Wei Shern doesn't give a shit about unity but prefers playing with his mobile phone...Sigh..the dilemma of technology, now I feel for the old men...
We blend really well, we form a really close bond and sometimes inseparable. Sometimes, too close a bonding can cause disoriented sexual affection. It can be perceived here that Dhillep is trying his best to pinch my nipple by first laying his finger on it.
Inter-racial unity or intra-racial unity...whatever it is, we abide to the spirit of unity...affection, no affection...freedom is priority here. We acknowledge Gay Rights.....we believe in Utilitarianism.."the greatest good is for the greatest number of people"
We are proud to voice our opinions...two-some, threesome, foursome..you name it, we can arrange it.
We don't wanna hide our feelings and fade away from the society, the future is ours to shape it. With a huge sense of determination, we do believe strongly in Gay Rights...
Except me, I'm the odd man out..Leave me out at the door and from the revolution.
A strong community must possess sheer qualities of "I help you, you help me" and portray personalities which reflect on absolute unity. Therefore, every now and then...we have communal meal times...the good, the bad and the ugly...we solve things diplomatically.
How close is the community depends on how well you communicate. A single jar of tea can quench the thirst of tens and hundreds of people if you know how to pour it in each glass or cup. In our context....we take a seep on everyone's saliva..that is brotherhood with a zest of some sisterhood also...That is communal love.
And there's no such thing as..."I don't care about you and you don't love me anymore"
When someone needs help, we offer him or her a hand...we never leave anyone out....we take good care of each other. If someone is in dire need of a classified or specified attention, we will attend to him or her...We live to help each other....we don't believe in serving.
And when we commit ourselves to assisting each other to produce a more than ordinary and extraordinary community, we are actually painting smiles on everyone's faces. Everyone is happy. You don't believe in that? Well, Wei Loong does, with all of his heart and soul.
Then again, sometimes we tend to isolate each other...we argue...we disagree...we hate and we dislike...Sometimes, other people feel insulted and at the same time, some are sadistic, love laughing at people's misery...I know..it's cold...but we are human...we give in to our nature.
But we are never afraid to express ourselves. Not feeling happy?Dissatisfied?Discontent?Just let it all out...Scream! Shout! There is always someone out there in the class to attend to your anger and trying his or her best to return happiness back into your heart. May it be physically, emotionally, mentally or even ermm....sexually...we do our best to return the best things back into your life when you are down in the valley of sadness and sorrow.
When it's time to sit for examinations. we get serious...we have reasons to lay our eyes on the necessary books and we also have the necessary fingers to scratch our head to fend off exam frustrations.
And when I say....serious...I mean it's really serious.
However....we do have our distractions...feeling bored and wanting to play mobile games or sending out random messages are some of the things we do to cure boredom. Nonetheless, we are still serious in getting the best grades. We tend to get so distracted at times....Personally, sometimes I feel like breaking the rules and just release myself from all these tension...Maybe do something stupid....

"HOH!!...You don't ar....young man!..." "We are watching YOU!!"...Those sounds...echo from around the class. That is what makes us tick....we encourage each other to study harder....we love giving advises..we love to....pretend.....to study.
Yes...those times..We feel it. We feel bored sometimes while waiting for our lecturers. But what's your plan? It's just waiting for like 5 to 10 minutes....why don't we just study?
It took 5-10 minutes for Hiroshima and Nagasaki to be completely wiped out by two American atomic bombs in 1945. Therefore, in the space of that period of time, we devised a game we proudly call it...ARUBA. It is a game of a single victim and various predators whereby we hold the hands and legs of the victim while we have the victim's legs wide open like a Y-Factor. The we apply the Law of Conservation Momentum to bang the victim's groin on a pole or a corner. The problem is that....momentum is not conserved even when the victim's groin collide with a solid pole.
When it's the end of examinations...we get clueless...maybe it was too stressful but we just lose directions.
We spend hours and hours to discuss what to do or how to de-stress ourselves....sometimes into no avail.
And we wait...and we wait.....we stone and petrify ourselves in the middle of a crowd...
Therefore...we wait for PROM! It was at prom when I start to notice that Sueflyn is not really a tomboy and that she likes the colour pink also....As cliche as it sounds....it does take time to realize a person's personality...Hence, in our community....we are still very much trying our best to fully understand each other.
Every community has a person who stands out prominently among the rest. In a Chinese-infested community, surprisingly it is a Malay who stands out among the rest. We are so proud to have Heikal as one of our classmates. He is eccentric, you can't find him anywhere because............................I don't wanna say.....ISA will find me and him.....
Every generation has a great thinker...every brotherhood has a wanker....every class has someone who is smarter than every other...but not every class who has a genius (Not joking, could very well be straight A20) who is willing to explore different things in life. Can you imagine Bill Gates in a night club? Now I can start to imagine....
25 students from my class take up Chemistry. Pn. Mahani is our Chemistry lecturer.
I don't know what to say about this lady.

And there you have it....just about almost everything I can tell you about my college experience.
8 months of sheer stress...8 months of taxing weeks...8 months of dressing casually to an educational institution.....truly...8 months of joy. I would like to...:

1) Thank the college for the giving me the opportunity to study SAM starting way back in March
(because my parents paid for it and all I need was 5 C's)

2) Thank my mentor and my lecturers for their uncompromising attitude of teaching and their
dedication towards their job. (sorry to Mr. Chin for sleeping all the time though I only sit 1
foot away from him)

3) Thank my classmates for choosing me as the mentor.(though I didn't tell you all the real
reason was that I'm a power greedy person :D )

4) Thank all my college friends who aren't my classmates for the extra-extra fun ECA
experience. From Pre-Medical Society, World AIDS Day, Agathian's Shelter charity home
visit, SAM Idol, Taylor's Talent Arena, Taylor's Charity Drive, Debate Competition and
Prom Night! (It was more than what I did in the space of 5 years in secondary school)

5) Thank Chiun Xin for being my ASS rep, Alicia for keeping all the money, Sueflyn for being the
2nd girl and last girl to enter the class, thank Dhillep and Tanes (thanks for being my lab
partner, sometimes I take you awfully for granted...sigh..) for being Indians of the class,
Heikal for being Malay, Wei Loong for being the tallest person in college, Wei Jian for his
time to talk about Physics and Friday Night Movie with me, Ferng Lin for capturing the class' best moments, Theng Fei for being so patient sitting next to me, Weng Howe for always
organizing events to fend off college stress,Zhen Jiang for selling his prom ticket to me on the
last day of college, Hui Yon for his undying desire of spreading Christianity, Tze Herng for his
house to BBQ, Yee Khang for trying to establish a Japanese cult amongst the classmates,
Leslie for swearing so much but yet respects Hui Yon, Victor for stalling Mrs. Banu's time by
arriving late every morning, Woei Jye for making the class laugh with his broken English, Chai
Yang for letting me to finish his food every break time, Gary for being Pn. Mahani's best
Chemistry student and even beating all of her January students, Wei Shern for constantly
reminding me that sometimes my shirts are too tight, Chao Lin for being one of the most
talented pianist in the college yet humble about it, Kai Jun for shaving his mustache after
Trials, Yong Sheng for trying his best to communicate with me in English though I'm a
banana, Jie Hao for helping me to photocopy relevant studying materials, Kah Yoong for
constantly reminding me about the hottest chicks in college (though I do not have the same
taste), Ming Zu for trying his best to quit smoking, Zhi Gang for telling me that money can
buy everything and must always be thrifty, and finally Ying Hao for causing all of us to give
the nickname, "The Silencer".

Thanks for the memories guys.....you will always be in my heart....dup..dup..dup..

Emcee Hampered, Promenade

First of all...a very warm welcome....to the South Australian Matriculation Programme Director of Taylor's University College bla bla bla bla bla......the list goes on.....and BANG! That was prom night! And so....19 of November 2008, all South Australian Matriculation students of Taylor's University College -class of 2008 to be more precise- attended the annual prom....Well, most of the students to be even more precise...So,how did the prom go?Let's ask some kids about it shall we?
Guess what? Here we are! Prom night baby! Theng Fei was too excited for prom that he told us he had wanted to bang straight through the main door.Gary on left was asking....."Ehh...where's Sam ar??Where's our class rep??"....Weng Howe interrupted and said..."Cool down cool down...he's on his way here...don't need to care about him lar....he number 1 FFK"
And yeap.....they didn't care much about me....so most of them proceeded on taking pictures of themselves first....Here we have....Tze Herng on the left mumbling.."This Sam ar....shit lar he! I come all the way here to enjoy my prom and must show him my ultra spiked up curly hair"...Ferng Lin(on the right) was wearing an ultra sexy slim-cut collar shirt with some animal pattern....I think it was a dragon...I'm not too sure.....and Gary was still..."Don't care lar don't care lar! Take pictures first!"
And so......my classmates ditched me in the class photo taking session..I was left out in the cold...Guess what people?! This is not the entire class...well technically this is the entire class that came for prom...but one thing that we should all know! 100% of the girls' population came! 2 out of 2....doesn't that make a 100%?
And so..they were still searching for me...."Aiya Aiya....where's Sam ah?Where's Sam ah?" .."Sei Sam ahh.....don't know where he went already!" "Yahlor yahlor...eihh...what's this? Our class rep paid the money never come ahh?Stupid feller!"...So as you can see....my classmates care a lot for me...it's true....
Then again..I care alot for them too......
With that....I gave them a surprise! I was the emcee for the night hohohoho! According to Chiun Xin, it was something obvious to him.....Cause I was being fishy for the past few weeks.....REALLY?But I made the class proud right?Yeah bABy!
Ah HA! Now the class have ME on a picture for prom night! Wei Loong..being too tall is always an advantage....I don't know why midgets like me even insisted on lowering my body for the picture....that's real stupid...So what do we have on the picture? We have Weng Howe being too grumpy over the photographer that he suggested that he could punch the cameraman's face if he's taking too much time to just take a picture. Ofcourse, we have Ferng Lin happily showing the way out to the cameraman if he doesn't know how to take snap pictures. And Me?Looking angry that I blinked my eyes when the cameraman took this picture!
The rest was....yeap....with good old buddies...Han Chuen doesn't smile much for camera, Tian Hui on the other hand is the devastating opposite and me?As usual...say....CHEESE.....
And this? This was taken 10 minutes before my job was done....I was tired...sleepy...hungry..but nonetheless....along came Ellen who delightfully offered me a camwhore moment...well cherished...
So was that it?Not the end yet...So...we have a scandalous picture of our class genius, Wei Jian who visited M.O.S. Euphoria after Prom...He's a genius with an exceptional behaviour...No one dared messing up with him...Chai Yang was on his back and Tze Herng was keeping his eyes watched from the front.....Therefore....Wei Jian.....was officially pimped...E3 style.
As usual...Tze Herng likes to get himself silly.....the action never stops...even after prom....and Heikal? He was about to say the F-word......
Kids grow up so fast and too fast sometimes....that they forgot sleeping time is almost up but they are so persistent! They don't wanna listen! They wanna go disco-disco....Zohan style.
Until the next prom which you'll never see a better E3 again.....cheers....for a better future for all future SAM students....cause it's the best Pre-U programme on Earth......

And so...it ended.....the SAM programme...it ended with a bang...yes...yes....with all my heart and soul I would to...:
1) Thank my parents for allowing me to go to Prom
2) Thank Pn Nor and Ms Sydney Yong for choosing me as the emcee for the night
3) Thank Alicia and Sueflyn who delightfully make 100% turnout for the class' girls' population in Prom.
4) Thank Ferng Lin for the ultra chunted super dyper hyper master maharaja photographing efforts.
And finally.....a big thank you to Chan Wei Jian who showed me that A20 students do party.

A big fish swimming in a small ocean.

No no! The blog isn't done and dusted yet...Think I'll post this "wonderful experience" first before i post other crap from college or whatsoever. So here's the thing....I went back to my mum and dad's hometown in Teluk Intan, Perak on the 14th of November, the day I finished my exams. Sometimes, things are really easier when both parents are from the same spot..you know...the same "village"...whatever it is....my parents' hometown supposed to be called my hometown as well....So..I was back for my cousin's wedding dinner...and I realized....how small the town really is.......
One thing we all should know is that....people get happy really easy when they aren't stressed up with all the city hassle whatsoever bla bla bla...Check that out...even the maid is happy here...why?Cause my mum was ironing her own clothes and the maid gets to chill..well I mean..thats not practically the reason but yeah...not like those city maids that we are used to...They steal lotsa things....cash, jewelleries, handbags, cosmetics, sometimes the babies....and ofcourse...HUSBANDS....
It's kinda hard to believe my mum lived here...and she speaks fluent English right now...for me...this is close to history.....for rich men, this is close to poverty but for the people in the town...this is close to luxury.....I GUESS.....
Animals here are being treated good as well though they get chained around the neck for whatsoever reasons. Sometimes, a little bit of control will help to turn things around...or maybe town people don't understand how to have fun with pets!...I mean...doggy-style u know what I'm sayin'?
Ahh yes...the altar of the Gods....why not?Remember those huge and gigantic Greek Temples which house sexy deities and hot goddesses?A friend of mine once told me that why men and women are crazy about being buff and slim respectively is because of the ideal the body that the Greek sculpture promotes through the carving of their gods....And in this case....this altar houses a picture....of a...not sure what it is...but i do know fruits and desserts are "his" favourite offerings...I wonder if we put a fat guy statue 3000 years ago in a Greek temple would make private gyms losing their businesses..?Hmm...
In a small town....everyone's a little friendlier than people from the city...People watch you when you make new friends....and ofcourse...people scratch their head when they don't understand the city language..i wonder if modern civilization would thrive with sign languages?....
AHh yes.....we all like big things don't we?We like huge screens..big sounds systems...blasting all the audio energy around the house and the high frequency enveloping the roof like a bouncy fishnet...don't we?Well here...in the small town...they take things to the next level. Two is better than one! You don't like too big a screen? Then try fitting your own choice of size and place it together like a LEGO block and fix a mini "satellite" for better adjustments...that would do just fine! Ahh.....TADAA....you get your home-grown luxurious TV-set.
When there's a marriage...almost everybody gets involved...at whatsoever times...even in tea ceremonies.Tea ceremonies are definitely the most important aspect of marriage in Chinese traditions. We serve. we drink...we get merry...Even strangers get their fair share of joy too! Check out the kid on the sofa....I think she's got all planned up on what to wear maybe in about 15-20 years time....so thats how tradition was spread around?Since we were all...weeee-young kids huh..
Ofcourse...we invite people from all ages.....The older you get....the rule is....the lesser hair you should keep....Cause you're gonna look ugly with long white hair....ever ate rice noodles?Vermicelli?Or maybe...MIHUN soup..yeah..it looks like that without the soup if you don't cut it..thats if you are a girl though...
The people never forget their roots...they still connect with each other...We pay respect to people of all ages....we talk, we speak up, we communicate...we serve them....We serve them ice..to cool them down for not being able to understand the city lifestyle...and fresh coke to add some fizz to their mindsets......
And yes....we all love big family dinners don't we?I think it all originated from the small town...we carry our values around and we pass it on to the next generation...
And the next generation always have the perception that they are better than the previous one...they wanna be treated like kings and queens...their orders to be made available and commendable at all times! So is it a big surprise to see a small girl wearing something on her head, trying to portray herself like a queen? No....in fact no...thats what mostly all girls do nowadays.....or even boys...we violate the family laws and we fight back..we answer back..we rebel...that's how we roll baby..
And the kids never stop whining and giving orders...they want their parents to give them what they want.....To be able to offer them whatever possible that they desire....to be able to give them their time as well....To even be able to bow down to their orders.....It's scary how kids think nowadays....Generally...most parents are being controlled...unknowingly by their kids...it's not a shame...but it's a wicked reality.....kids ruling over parents.....Haihh...kids nowadays....
But hey....! We should never forget the bright road ahead...the lavishly green roads which are less traveled should be the ones more taken right?I guess how commoners become"uncommoners" is that they do things that people don't usually do....So let's go back to where it all started...our origins....trace back our genealogy....our anthropological history...go back to the forest....and lay our eggs there and breed a better generation of civilization...where people don't kill each other for drugs....why?
Bob Marley once said..." When you smoke the herb..it tells you who you are..."...but why did he say that? Though he was rich but he knew where to get the cheapest and the "highest" of drugs....which is at the forest.....

So there it was...a nice trip back to my parents' hometown and a beautiful wedding dinner was staged at a wonderful period of time. So where is it gonna be next time?Whatever it is....it's time to grow into a bigger fish in a bigger ocean....

So quote from Pussycat Dolls..."I wanna see the world, drive nice cars..I wanna have groupies/boobies"....not too sure but it's along the line.
